Job Description
Rennline Automotive is a leading design and E-commerce company of aftermarket products for the Porsche motorsports industry. Over the past 20 years, Rennline has developed over 5000 new and innovative products of the highest quality and functionality. It is these products which has made Rennline a leader in the industry; and has obtained international brand recognition. Rennline is not just a distributor but designs and manufactures these innovative products in-house under a 15,000 sq ft. fabrication facility. Rennline houses some of the latest fabrication and machining equipment and technology and is a service provider and supplier to many leading manufacturing companies in the industry. Requirements
- Part Design/prototyping/ordering
- Use 3D CAD to create models and drawings of products. Strong experience in 3D modeling and industrial design preferred.
- SolidWorks – Must have experience
- Rhino 3D/3D surface modeling – Bonus if you have experience
- 3D Scanning vehicles (Artec Leo)
- Prototyping and testing.
- Use and maintain our fleet of 5 X1 Carbon Bamboo 3D printers
- Use R&D workshop, automotive lift & tools, light manufacturing equipment for test fitment.
- Bring prototypes through to production
- Work with the rest of the engineering team to confirm designs.
- Communicate with suppliers
- Work with the purchasing team to order
Create documentation for new and existing products
- Create part and assembly drawings
- Including BOMs from existing 3D CAD models.
- Work with suppliers to confirm correct manufacturing and assembly.
- Create detailed instructions for customers.
- Work with the media team on install videos and instructions.
- Documentation updates and revisions.
Quality Control
- Perform quality control tasks on outsourced and in-house manufactured parts.
- Use 3D scanning on complex parts, run reports.
Requirments
- Associate's Degree in engineering, industrial design field preferred.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Familiarity with CAD design software, particularly SolidWorks (2D/3D).
- Able to create technical drawings with GD&T.
- Manufacturing experience and general understanding of manufacturing processes required.
